I own a studio and am considering renting space to other instructors. Does anybody have any experience with this? Pros and Cons? How did you come up with cost of rent?

Hi Laurie, this is Amy, a regular teacher here on the site and a studio owner as well. I rent space to other instructors and it works quite well for me as well as these teachers. Pros: additional rent to you, sharing integrity and professionalism, developing community, having others see your studio and possibly spreading the word about your business. Cons: scheduling these sessions can sometimes be tricky but nothing too complicated----communication is key! I try to see things in the upmost of positive angles so renting has worked well. I'd be happy to talk more. Any other specific questions you have?

Hi, Amy Havens How did you determine rent? Was it by the hour? lump sum for so many hours? Could use some advise as I am thinking about renting space. Thanks Dawn
