I had a hip 'scope a number of years ago - and never made it off of crutches before I had a THR.
The extended time of being non-weight bearing did a number on my gait. Essentially, when I try to take a step on that side, and my weight shifts to the big and second toes, they just kind of roll. Then my knee collapses to the inside.
I was tinkering around the other day - and noticed that there is essentially NO muscle in the second toe (note - this has been going on for almost 6 years).
Additionally - that foot will pronate really badly.
Does anybody have suggestions for some exercieses that might help?
