Hello, I feel a bit weird asking this. But: I've tried a couple of workouts that use the foam roller on top of the Reformer, and that include foot work. But for the life of me I can't do the foot work on the Reformer without pushing myself off backwards! :D I've already tried using anti-slip pads and reducing the spring tension, but none of that really worked. Both Reformer and Foam roller are professional-grade (the roller has a slightly textured surface), though not the same brand, so maybe not optimized to work together. Is there some trick to it that someone might share! I'm so excited to try those workouts but I just fail at the footwork! Thanks in advance! :)
Hi Julia R, great question! Did you try using the sticky pads between yourself and the foam roller or between the foam roller and reformer?
I would try playing around with your footbar height (if your reformer has that capability) and making sure you are pressing your back into the roller by engaging your abdominals. If you aren't connecting to your core and back then sliding is often an issue. I hope this helps!
Thank you Noelle :) Yeah I had tried all of those options, but I'll try if better engagement changes something! I've also tried a softer roller and that seems to have better traction. Thanks again :)
