Sarita Allen
Sarita is a world-renowned professional dancer whose career has spanned across four decades. Sarita was a dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s, and at present is an Artist In Residence with Complexions.
She has been mentored by Kathy Grant, who is considered one of the two grand dames of The Pilates technique and was taught and certified by Joseph. H. Pilates himself. She has also trained directly with Julio Horvath, the inventor of the Gyrotonic Expansion System.
Across three decades, she has successfully pursued her two parallel careers - of performer and of fitness teacher. She currently teaches at HBO Fitness Center, ART of Movement, and DL Fit Pilates Wellness Studio.
