Robert has been an enthusiastic, certified Rolfer since 1978. In addition to his private Rolfing and teaching, he directs the Fascia Research Project at Ulm University, which is at the forefront of international fascia research (www.fasciaresearch.de). He holds on M.A. degree in psychology and a PhD in human biology; and has also been a Certified Feldenkrais Teacher since 1987.
Robert's pioneering work on active fascial contractility was awarded with the Vladimir Janda Award for Musculoskeletal Medicine. A particular interst of his Rolfing practice is working with scoliosis. His teaching focuses on the neural dynamics of the myofascial net, and incorporates psychosocial values of the human potential movement.
