YEE-HAW! I can't believe I just found this 2 days ago. I only had time to practice a short(er) class, so I made it just to sitting on the platform next to the risers...then I had to run off...I loved it so much I knew I had to return. What a great thoracic spinal mobilizer! The whole practice was spectacular. I'll be gently nudging my teen swimmer into a smaller version of your beautiful (spiral line, i.e. Tom Meyers) work... BONUS.My breath is so free! I must say, I'm so happy to have been doing fascial work for the last 5 years to prep me for it though...intense! I know you do f.w. as well Amy, and beautifully I might add. So,to anyone considering this class, get your self some awareness there first and build to this. Your body will REJOICE!
Going back to read comments HEIDI VDB I had an issue at first with my legs in the straps as well (extension/flexion then pelvic tilt). firstly, I don't have a BB brand reformer, so my spacing is a nudge off , I adjusted backward to the football. Also, my understanding was that the pe;vis was square (both hips down). I have an old adductor/groin/hamstring injury and found that my thigh was externally rotating, and my glutes shut off). The cue "groins back and down helped with getting the abs and glutes to fire more consistently. Hope you see this, and it helps! Im not sure how to sneak it into your comment page 2...
Hi Amy......I want to thank you for such a thorough and detailed response. Yes, this class was a bit intense with the fascial stretching and mobilization so I appreciate you nudging others to practice and prepare a bit first. I think it can be tricky sometimes to analyze how intense certain exercises can be so having others opinion is helpful. :) Again, thank you for taking the time to reach out and express your comments....much appreciated, from one teacher to another!
