April, this is a 75 minute class and does not end with a roll up. Please let us know what happened by contacting John at this email address: Contact@pilatesanytime.com
April ~ If you were watching this on AUTO-DETECT, maybe try watching it on HD, MEDIUM, or LOW? It worked better for me on those settings than on AUTO. Also, perhaps try and fast forward beyond the point where you got stuck and see if the video will work for you beyond that point?
I finally got through this. Wow, it's fantastic. It especially made me happy bc there is this 1 single vertabrae in my spine that gives me terrible problems at times, and some of the work directly addressed the area, without aggravating it. This website is great!
This class and Rhythm Pilates are my favorite on this site. Rael is the type of person I want to become--passionate, harmonious, joyful, peaceful. People who don't do pilates (and I consider myself a beginner b/c I'm just starting to learn about the philosophy of pilates even though I can do advanced classes)...they don't understand. Pilates=harmony/balance/peace...Rae really personifies that in this class and he's so NICE. I just LOVE this class. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Shannon, I couldn't agree with you more! Rael captured my attention instantly some time ago (15 or so years ago) and I am just as inspired by his passion and joy in movement as you are. He has been a great teacher to many of us. I'm so glad you are now learning from him too. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us all here.
This class was fantastic! I am getting certified in Pilates with props - long distance, and happen to be using your book. Happy to know your personality as a teacher matches that of your book. Especially enjoyed all focus on the breath work! Any suggestions for tight hamstrings on a long legged girl with SI joint dysfunction? Ciao from Italia!
Thank you to everyone for your wonderful comments. They are always greatly appreciated. Pamela, I am afraid I do not have any magical suggestions for stretching. Genetics probably play the greatest part. I do have my favorite stretches, both on the mat and on the apparatus. All I can say is consistency is key. I will add that I have found tight hamstrings to often have an impact on SI function. So Pamela, keep stretching!
