Great class. Can I ask you to explain the connection between the hips internal rotation + quads squeeze, while you activate the romboids/ squeeze the shoulder blade and circle the arm bones to wake up the rotator cuff muscles ?

Roberta P, Thanks for your feedback and question. It's all related to improving our postural balance in one exercise. The internal rotation and quad activation in standing is to help balance the hip joints by lengthening the hip flexors (iliacus), strengthening the quads and setting the femur back in the joint which tends to get pulled slightly out from excessive sitting. Yes, the rhomboid retraction is to strengthen the mid-back and stabilize the shoulder blades while strengthening and activating the external rotators (rotator cuff: teres minor, infraspinatus) which are all commonly weak and imbalanced. I hope that's helpful and all the best!
Thank you for a wonderful class. All of the ways in which you have us move our upper back and the muscles that wrap around the torso was enlightening as to the tighter spots that are looking for freedom of movement. I enjoyed it so much.
