Thank you , Tom! Your cues and calm voice always trick my mind that the movement is 'easy' but my body tells me otherwise. Loved the tapping at the beginning of the session-- really felt the difference!
Always excited for a new Tom McCook video! Is the body tapping/sponging a Franklin Method practice? Would love to learn more about that as a way of enhancing client’s movement practices!
Cindy K & Laurel N, Thank you both for your supportive, inspiring feedback!! Laurel, tapping is part f the Franklin Method and some Tai Chi practices. Its purpose is to stimulate and improve proprioception. So we have a better brain/ body connection and can naturally let go of unnecessary tension, improve alignment and movement quality. Very helpful to also become present and aware. All the best!!
Great class Tom, thank you! That has to be my favorite push-up version yet, even better than when using Bohdi straps for the feet. Quick question, on side lying bicycle with the long purple spring attached that low on the bar, do you see the spring slightly above the knee during flexion, below, or do you not really care in terms of bone rhythms and torque on the knee? I couldn't find a comfortable place. Regardless, loved this tower class!
Donna M & Michele G, thank you for your inspiring comments! Michele, I recommend slightly above the knee level. See how that feels for you and make sure to activate the hamstrings and attempt to keep the hips level. See how it goes for you and possibly make the range smaller if needed to find the best alignment. Warm regards,🙏
