(light upbeat music) Hello, my name is Dr. Brent Anderson, and welcome to my series in the knee health program, The Injured Knee and Its Recovery. In this series we explore knee anatomy and biomechanics, the stages of knee health, and age and behavior related injuries and prevention. I'll share with you some exercises to help maintain mobility, stability, and control of the knee, and optimize performance with minimal pain. We'll also discuss pain management and whether it's time for surgery, and how to make that big decision. I started this series because of my own knee surgery and knee pain, and I believe that my experiences can be helpful to you in your decision making.
It is my hope that you would gain a better understanding of how to take care of your knees, so that your knees can last you a lifetime. Let's get started.
